Human Resource Management Generalist
Salary minimum R250 000.00 pa
Requirements:
*A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
*In-depth knowledge of legislative framework, Employment of Educators Act, Public Service Act, FETC Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, Skills Development Act.
*Knowledge and understanding of HR best practices to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, regulatory compliance and employee data records.
*Ability to think strategically.
*Management, leadership and administration skills.
*Effective problem-solving skills; ability to operate under pressure; ability to deliver effective results; meet tight deadlines and targets.
*Effective communication, both verbal and written; advocacy of college policies and implementation thereof.
*In addition to the academic qualifications, the candidate must have experience in supervisory / management level and insight into the main responsibilities of the post.
*Medium proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
*Proficient with basic budget management and calculations.
*A minimum of 7 years experience in a Human Resources Management environment.
Duties: *Implement and maintain sound quality management systems, including applicable legislation, policies, best practices and standards in Human Resources Management of the College
*Render HR advisory services to all College staff and management.
* Manage, coordinate and integrate the overall activities and subcomponents of the Human Resources Department to ensure effective and efficient service delivery at all delivery sites (appointments, transfers, terminations, salary administration and management of conditions of services, etc.)
* Maintain an accurate Human Resources Information System (ITS-System) to provide insight into the efficiency of Human Resources practices at the College
* Responsible for the establishment and functioning of relevant committees to ensure a consultative/integrated approach and compliance with regard to Employment Equity, Performance Management, Labour Relations and Skills Development.
*Review policies, procedures and processes to ensure the implementation of the college’s human resources strategy in accordance with the college’s business plans and strategic direction. *To assist with the development and establishment of systems and standard operating procedures for the Human Resources Department.
*Involved as a change agent to institute an organisational development process according to diagnosed and / or referred needs.
*Institute and maintain a career management system.
*To establish and maintain an environment of minimum conflict which will enable Line Managers and labour to concentrate their energies and efforts towards achieving their goals and objectives.
*Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems as required. *Advise and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
*Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of the college's personnel policies and practices. *Develop and administer special projects according to diagnosed and / or referred needs.
